Season 2 of The Greatest Demon Lord has been renewed and the title has been revealed ...

When will episode 12 of The Greatest Demon Lord Reborn be released on Crunchyroll, and what do we know so far about Season 2?

Wednesdays can sometimes feel a little difficult in the working week as the weekend remains a memory.

The good news is that Crunchyroll has provided some solid anime to help those mid-week blues on the Spring slate, including Birdie Song, The Rising of Shield of The Shield Hero, RPG Real Estate, and The Greatest Demon Lord.

The Greatest Demon Lord, which translates to a Typical Nobody, is a heroic fantasy series based on the Isekai genre, which was eventually adapted for television by Studio Silver Link. Whilst season 2 still remains TBA, many fans are wondering what the chances of a second adventure for The Greatest Demon Lord?

The Greatest Demon Lord episode 12 version is explained.

The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn As a Typical Nobody episode 12 is scheduled to air worldwide on Wednesday, June 22nd.

Season 2 of The Greatest Demon Lord: Renewal Status

The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody has yet to be officially renewed for season 2. However, many supporters are now curious about what Ard Meteor and his co. chances of a second adventure are.

The good news is that there should be enough source material from the Myojin Katos original light novel series to produce at least one more anime season. Non only is the series still releasing new content, but it has already published nine complete volumes in Japan.

The bad news is that the series has not been received positively by the worldwide community, with popularity becoming a surprising sticking point in the chances of season 2. As of June 22, The Greatest Demon Lord is scoring a disappointing 2.6/5 on Crunchyroll Reviews, 3.4/5 on Anime Planet, 6.3/10 on IMDB, and 6.39/10 on MyAnimeList.

In fact, the anime is currently only the 35th highest-rated series from the Spring anime slate on MAL, and it might only manage a 10th place peak as a result of ongoing fan surveys.

A lot of them are difficult to recover from in an anime series that starts and disappears in the blink of an eye, particularly due to the enormous amount of resources required to produce another season.

The narrative in the anime does not match the title. If the hero is born as a typical nobody then why he is so popular and overpowered. The action scenes are very short and the harems do nothing but seducing the antagonist. There are also short ecchi scenes. User tasin-47417, via IMDB.

The consequences of the series'' popularity might be a major factor for Studio Silver Link, the company behind the anime adaptation of The Greatest Demon Lord, which is reborn as a normal person.

The Tokyo-based production studio has previously produced my Next Life as a Villainess, The Worlds Finest Assassin, Non Non Biyori Nonstop, The Great Jahy Willn''t Be Defeated, Restaurant to Another World, and The Misfit of Demon King Academy.

By contrast, The Greatest Demon Lord is unlikely to achieve global success as these shows, all of which also have their next anime seasons available to Silver Link.

It would be a welcome surprise, but it would be a surprise if The Greatest Demon Lord Is Reborn as a Typical Nobody was renewed for season 2, especially if it is announced before the previously mentioned series make their return.
