Evtric Motors, an EV company, said on Wednesday that it has launched its first motorcycle priced at Rs.60 lakh (ex-showroom), and announced the beginning of reservations for the e-bike Evtric Rise with an initial payment of 5,000 starting June 22.
The motorcycle, which was introduced during the company''s dealers meeting in Rajasthan in recent months, has a speed of 70 km/hour and is capable of speeding over 110 km on a single charge.
PAPL, a Pune-based automation company, has been founded by Evtric Motors.
PAPL ventured into the electric vehicle space in July, claiming to invest Rs. 100 crore in the business in a phased manner and to develop electric scooters, bicycles, bikes, and three-wheelers.
Evtric already has three electric scooters Axis, Ride, and Mighty in its product portfolio. These cars are being sold through a network of 125 touchpoints across 22 states.
The e-bike is fully charged within four hours with the accompanying 10-amp micro charger, which comes with the auto cut feature.
