Romance fans rejoice because ITV has announced that You & Me, a brand-new show developed by Happy Prince for ITVX, has begun filming. With Dominic Treadwell-Collins, Alexander Lamb, and Russell T Davies on board as executive producers, the three-part drama will air in South East London. You & Me Plot
Ben is a young northerner living in London who is trapped during the tragedy on the most common day of his life. Emma is a theatre actress on the rise who is concealing the consequences of her success. And Jess is a young woman who is often disgruntled with her bus while she runs for a bus. A chance encounter gives them a second chance at love.
You & Me explores what it takes to find love, lose it, and then try again. Outside of romantic love, the show will also unpack parental and familial love, love in unexpected locations, the difficult decisions that come with falling in love, and the painful costs we often have to pay.
You & Me Cast
Harry Lawtey has been cast as Ben we previously saw him in The Pale Blue Eye and as Robert Spearing in the industry. Jessica Barden (The End of the F***ing World, Pieces of Her) plays Emma, while Sophia Brown (The Witcher: Blood Origin, Giri/Haji) plays Jess.
Julie Hesmondhalgh (Coronation Street, Broadchurch) is cast member of the Bens family Linda, and Janie Dee (Crashing, Me and Orson Welles) as Emmas mum Hannah, Andi Osho (Stay Close, The Sandman, and The Breeders) as Jess mum Pam, and Lily Newmark (Sex Education and Temple) as Emmas sister Joey.

This three-episode drama will debut on ITVX in 2023, before being transferred to linear transmission some months later.
