I gave everything: A 30 million Newcastle target has announced that he will leave his plans to West ...

Nayef Aguerd, a Newcastle target, has posted an email on Twitter to announce his departure from Rennes, with a move to West Ham reportedly imminent.

The Magpies made a late push to sign the 26-year-old, although he is now set to join West Ham in a deal worth 30 million.

According to some outlets, the Hammers might even announce their arrival on Monday.

The Moroccan international has received a farewell message to Rennes, which is quite a lengthy one, to say the least.

Below are a few examples of what Aguerd had to say for himself.

The No.6 admits he gave everything to the Ligue 1 side, making 80 appearances in total after arriving from Dijon in 2020 in those outings, and scoring seven goals.

Aguerd gained experience with Rennes in the Champions League, and through his sounds, he built a strong emotional connection with the supporters, which would enthuse West Ham fans.

David Moyes is a defender who promises to give 100% on the pitch, so it''s no surprise to see him move to the London Stadium.

Newcastle made a late attempt to hijack the West Hams deal, although they appear to have failed.

Aguerd will join the Irons without experiencing any surprises, and he will add some much-needed depth to Moyes'' centre-back division.

West Ham failed to secure another Europa League season.

Newcastle are willing to surpass most teams in Europe financially, but after tasting the Champions League with Rennes, we believe Aguerd wanted Europa League football rather than a higher salary package.

Only the time will tell how he performs on the pitch, but West Ham are adding a strong character to their dressing room on the basis of his goodbye message.
