The multiplayer mode for Part II of The Last of Us is now available for download ...

Naughty Dog said during the Summer Game Fest that the multiplayer mode for The Last of Us Part II is a standalone game out of the leaked release.

Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog has announced the new standalone title, which has confirmed that the game is still in production. Druckmann has added that the standalone game isn''t yet ready to be properly described, but the studio will reveal more next year.

The only thing he showed was a piece of concept art, which appears to be the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. If so, that would set the game out on the West Coast. He added that the game would be as significant as any single-player title the studio has developed. It will also have a story.

The first anyone to know of the multiplayer, it was still in the works. Rochelle Snyder, the senior manager of communications at Naughty Dogs, said in a blog post last September that the ambitious project was being discussed.
