The internet is claiming that a creepy creature seen in a CCTV footage from Amarillo Zoo is fake ...

When a strange alien-like creature washed up on an Australian beach, the internet became creeped out. Now, an even stranger animal has been discovered in Texas?

Amarillo, Mexico, has asked the public to provide any assistance in identifying a bizarre figure who was last month seen walking outside the city''s zoo and was tracked on CCTV.

Many people wonder what the bizarre animal is, but others believe it is just a publicity stunt from the Zoo itself.

The city of Amarillo has asked the public to name a strange creature.

The City of Amarillo, in northern Texas, took to Facebook on Wednesday (June 8th) to ask the public to assist in finding a strange creature that was discovered on CCTV.

In the dark and early morning hours of May 21, the Amarillo Zoo captured a strange picture together with a screenshot from the security footage.

A human-like figure is seen on two legs in the black and white picture, but its head appears to be bizarrely animal-like.

Is this a person who wears a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? Do you have any ideas of what this UAO- Unidentified Amarillo Object might be? the City of Amarillo continued.

The entire CCTV footage has not been publicly disclosed, and only this one photo has been recorded, but internet users have made their remarks.

The guesses are in

As people attempt and find out what the mystery creature is, the original post has 288 comments.

Despite some doubts about Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, a few people thought it looked like a cartoon character Sonic the Hedgehog.

It''s clear that Guardians of the Galaxy releases Rocket the Raccoon, according to one person, while another adds: Splinter is looking for the Ninja Turtles!

Others offered some more practical answers, such as a person walking with a back pack and clothing blowing in the wind, someone wearing a fancy dress costume or a guy giving his girlfriend a piggyback ride.

Lots of people think its a hoax

While some are admiring what the mystery creature is, others are concerned that the Amarillo Zoo is putting a molecular punch on everyone.

I think it was staged and a prank, but it gave this no name zoo its 25 seconds of fame. Never knew Amarillo existed in the Zoo.

A third Twitter user has added that this is because Amarillo has a zoo.

A strange unidentified Amarillo object was spotted outside the zoo. My bet is the zoo and the city made this as a coordinated publicity stunt.
