The season for Love Island is coming to an end, but the seasons for the 2022 villa have risen.
The series has been based on a Spanish island in the Mediterranean, and according to ITV''s managing director of media and entertainment, Kevin Lygo, the series didnt own the Love Island villa they had been shooting at. Lygo said, "We didnt own [the last villa], we moved it to a new location this summer, so that is all secrecy." Now that the series'' premiere of the villa on June 6, 2022, the island has officially been revealed and its location is not quite quite.
Sadly, since they were renting the old villa, it was unavailable for shooting this time around. It just makes sense to finally have a place to call their own, and Love Island is staying near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar in Majorca.
The completely new Love Island villa was built just a few minutes away from the famous villa. A source claimed that ITV wanted to stay in Majorca because it provided the perfect sunny backdrop for the program. For anyone who has marathon-watched Love Island, you know that a large majority of the show is simply watching contestants flirting with each other while lounging by the pool. So, a sunny backdrop is absolutely a must.
The location may vary, but the property itself is very different. Fans were able to see a photo of the 2022 Love Island villa before the premiere on Instagram with a POV walkthrough video. Inside, there are a slanted walkway leading up to the property, which gives you the opportunity to see some cute Insta selfies.
The dressing room is a highlight of the new villa, with everything you need to get camera-ready for the day. Nkazana Kaz Kamwi from Season 7 of Love Island even admitted on the video. Kazimir Crossley from Season 4 admitted she''s kinda jealous of the new property. Taking out from the dressing room is a balcony with plenty of seating to hang out and gossip if necessary.
Another popular hangout spot is the new and massive pool area, which includes outdoor bars and colorful loungers, as well as chairs. The outdoor pool area would not be complete without a large fire pit, which is a staple in the series and where a lot of the dramatic moments occur.
There''s also a new vibrant bedroom where everyone sleeps at night with colorful lip art on the walls and a pretty pink motif. Ideally, this Love Island villa is a must-see attraction, and it''s possible to rent it out if the shows do not allow it. You may always leave a Love Island-themed Airbnb in Arizona if you don''t want to go to the hotel.
