While Season 1 explored their contentious encounter, Season 2 explored more the meaning of their mentorship as they workshopped Deborah''s new stand-up act.
Co-creators Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs, and Jen Statsky said they were surprised by the fan reception, given that they really made this show to fascisate each other, according to Aniello. Season 2 was inspired by a road trip they all took together, and though Season 3 hasnt been confirmed, they said that they already have many more ideas, inspired by their own lives.
Aniello said that beyond [Season 2''s road trip], we know what we intend to do. This is because as we were writing Season 1, or even when we were writing Season 2, we would always be like. This seems like a whole new season thing. I would completely freak out and lose my mind with stress. Fortunately, the show is already around 20 or 30 years old.
Season 3 of Them, here''s all we know so far.
Hacks Season 3 Premiere Date
Both seasons of Hacks have had their premieres in May, when the first season was renewed in June 2021. So, we can anticipate Season 3 in May 2023 if this pattern holds.
Hacks Season 3 Cast
Without Deborah (Jean Smart) and Ava (Hannah Einbinder) returning, supporting performers like Carl-Clemons Hopkins Marcus, Paul W. Downs, Kayla, Rose Abdoos Josefina, Kaitlin Olsons DJ Vance, and Lorenza Izzos Ruby are expected to return. So here''s how we can anticipate more real-life comedians in a third season.
Hacks Season 3 Plot
Ava and Deborah are both on the verge of being pushed out of their comfort zones by Season 2, which she described as a success. She is also fielding writing applications from staff impressed with her work on Deborah''s show. Their relationship is prickly until the end, but it now comes to love.
I think it feels like Hacks are being closed or wrapped up, but Jen Statsky said for us. It''s more simply that the characters are growing and developing, and we always said that this show should be grounded, especially as she is learning these things about herself in her act, and she is learning to hold herself more accountable. We wanted these lessons to be reflected in her behavior as well.
