Putin Discussed The Coronavirus Vaccine With The Crown Prince Of Saudi Arabia
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman al Saud, during which the parties discussed the Russian coronavirus vaccine, according to the Kremlin website.
"The parties also discussed the issues of cooperation in the fight against the spread of coronavirus infection, in particular, the prospects for using the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in Saudi Arabia, "the report said.
Also, the parties discussed the implementation of existing agreements in the OPEC+ format, confirming their readiness to continue close coordination to maintain stability in the global energy market.
Earlier in September, Putin discussed the Russian vaccine with King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of Saudi Arabia.
Russia became the first country in the world to register its own coronavirus vaccine from the scientific center. Gamalei, it was named "Sputnik V." It is currently undergoing post-registration trials with 40,000 volunteers.
On October 14, Vladimir Putin announced the registration of a second vaccine, Epivaccorona, developed by the Vector research center. On October 6, its tests began in Russia. Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova clarified on October 15 that the vaccine can be registered in a month. In addition, Crimean scientists reported on the development of another vaccine.
