The actor Eli Bradley dodges a question about his return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe ...

Although Captain America hasn''t been the lead character in an MCU movie since 2016, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier brought Sam Wilson''s take on the star-spangled hero into the spotlight. It also set the stage for Captain America 4 as well as a young new hero in Elijah Richardson''s Eli Bradley.

Richardson played a minor role in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier alongside his on-screen grandfather, Carl Lumbley, Isaiah Bradley, appearing in three of the show''s six episodes. Even though this only equated to a few minutes in total, his role is expected to progress even further in the coming years, as Eli Bradley is a key member of the Young Avengers from Marvel Comics.

The major question now about Eli Bradley''s return is where it will be able to come, especially with Captain America 4 from Anthony Mackie in the early stages of Marvel Studios'' development.

The actor who led Eli during his latest film''s press tour has offered his own thoughts on the topic at hand, too.

The Eli Bradley Star Answers to Captain America 4

Elijah Richardson, star of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, was asked about a potential return as Eli Bradley in Captain America 4.

When asked if he wants to take on the position of Patriot at some point in the future, specifically for the next solo Captain America film, Richardson dismissed the question by saying "No comment," before choking at the camera:

His Stargirl costsars shook hands with the idea of a MCU introduction, with Grace VanderWaal saying, yeah, and Tyrel Williams indicating the intention of rebranding Stargirl "but as superheroes this time.

When Will Patriot Return to the MCU?

Eli Bradley is poised to play a bigger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe''s future as the franchise continues to expand, regardless of when he actually becomes a superhero. And even with Richardson making an approach this time around, there''s no doubt that he''s open to reprising his role whenever he gets the call to suit up as Eli again.

Richardson explains in an exclusive interview with The Direct how he influenced the character, particularly with his connection to the Captain America legacy and his role as a Young Avenger. Despite his intentions to pursue his characters in future projects, it''s clear that he''s done his research on the character and is ready for whatever he expects.

The new solo film, Captain America 4, is still in the early stages of development; only Anthony Mackie and the lead writer Malcolm Spellman are officially on board to push it forward. It will still be a while until further information is revealed.

The Falcon and the Winter Solider are now available on Disney+.
