Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has recently extended its validity for its annual prepaid recharge. Previously offering one year or 365 days of service including data, calls, and SMS, the recharge will now allow users to gain additional days on specific recharges. The offer is valid until the end of June, and customers who recently received the prepaid recharge will also be eligible for BSNL''s extended validity.

The Rs. 2,399 recharge plan, which previously offered 365 days validity, will now allow users to receive data, messaging, and calling benefits for 425 days. The plan was initially reported by TelecomTalk, and may be used by customers who have applied the subscription plan between April 1 and June 29.

Customers will have access to unlimited local and STD voice calling at home, in the local service area, and national roaming, as well as on the MTNL network in Mumbai and Delhi. It also provides access to 2GB/day of high-speed data access, which has resulted in speeds falling to 40Kbps. In January, BSNL had temporarily updated its Rs. 2,399 plan with 90 days of additional validity (up to 455 days).

On the BSNL website, the Rs. 2,399 recharge has lasted 425 days, according to a screenshot/BSNL.

The administration is expected to begin the country by the end of 2022, which means that the company will upgrade user experience to 4G. In the meantime, the government expects the commercial roll-out of 5G services on other telecom providers to begin in August and September this year.
