The Building Made Of Mirrors (Maraya Concert Hall) Was Included In The Guinness Book Of Records
An architectural miracle built in Saudi Arabia was included in the Guinness Book of records. Maraya Concert Hall has become the world's largest mirror building. Its area is almost 10 thousand meters. The giant cube is located in the center of the al-Ula desert.
The name of the building translates from Arabic as "mirror" or "reflection." Thanks to this material, it is almost invisible. This was the idea of the architects, who wanted to emphasize the natural beauty of the desert, rich in archaeological monuments, the first place among which is the ancient city of Madain-Saleh, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
"Al-Ula is a world heritage site, and this is our project of the XXI century. We aimed to create a cultural center for world-class events, performances, celebrations, and business meetings. "Maraya" is a place that unites nature, culture, and humanity," the Royal Commission on the Al-ʿUla desert noted.
