The first look at the much-anticipatedSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versese sequel is here, revealing that it is actually the first oftwomovies to continue Miles Morales'' animated romance, as well as Miles'' adventures as Kate Bishop inHawkeye. Spider-Gwen, who has also been seen in a post-credits scene inInto the Spider-Verse, has been shown. Check it out below:

Producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller explain the two-part sequel in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Miles'' story is a complex. We created what we expected it to be, and to our surprise we realized it was two movies instead of one. Part Two will be available sometime in 2023. We will sleep again in 2024.

Miles and Gwen will reunite with some old friends and meet... a lot of new ones. Expect many new Spider-People in the two sequels, like the aforementioned Spider-Man 2099, who is the Spider-Man of a probable future (set in the year 2099).

The film''s official synopsis is shown below:

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar-winning Spider-Verse series, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyns full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to confront a villain who is more powerful than they have ever encountered.

ThisSpider-Verse will feature Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson, as well as Lord and MIller''s screenplay with Dave Callaham. The sequel to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available at movie theaters on October 7, 2022.
