Season 2 of Pen15 will come to an end, with Hulu ...

The second half of Season 2 of PEN15 is coming to an end, with the platform getting ready later this week. The news comes from an extensive profile of show creators Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle in The New Yorker. In September 2020, the first seven episodes of Season 2 aired, along with an animated special in 2021.

Both Erskine and Konkle had originally planned their middle school-set series as three seasons. However, complications from the coronavirus epidemic forced them to reconsider. Neither Erskine nor Konkle have become parents, and have begun to pursue other acting opportunities. It makes sense that both would want to reach a close.

The show, which is curated by AwesomenessTV, offers a brutally honest portrayal of middle school, with Erskine and Konkle performing 13-year-old versions of themselves. The real-life best friends are accompanied by actors who are actually middle school-aged, resulting in several bizarrely hilarious scenes.

What will be expected from Season 2''s second half? Without a lot of praise, Erskine and Konkle predicted that a majority of characters discoveries and growth will take place independently. Mayas cousin visits from Japan, while Anna has to deal with the loss of a family member. Yet, the two are still a component of both projects.
