While the film hasn''t been scheduled for at least 18 months, Annt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have already wrapped the shooting. Peyton Reed has posted a tweet saying the film is now complete, at least as far as principal photography is concerned. He also attached a piece of art of a tiny Wasp zooming into battle on the back of Ant-Mans head. (It''s difficult to tell at this scale.)
The two title characters from Quantumania include Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, reprising their roles from 2015sAnt-Man and 2018sAnt-Man and the Wasp. The film also includes Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, Kathryn Newton as Scott Langs daughter Cassie, and Bill Murray, who has recently revealed his role. (He didn''t say what character.)
Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, is likely to be the real Kang, the time-traveling super-villain who has plagued the Avengers through decades of comics and is preparing to become the Marvel Cinematic Universes new Thanos in the coming years.
Ant-Man and the Waspis are scheduled to begin theaters on July 28, 2023. Yes, 2023, not 2022. There are already a lot of special effects work to be done, and there are a few tweaks at some point.
