How do you make a television appearance fonding on one of the most outrageous games of all time? Well, how about with a trailer that isn''t actually a trailer, and instead takes the guise of a six-and-a-half-minute fake news report filled with profanity, violence, and anexplainer onhow to perform an upper decker?

It''s nice to see that as MacGruber progresses from film to television, the material hasn''t been damaged or altered in any way. In 2010,MacGruber got his own television program, which was more than a ripoff ofMacGyver than a merciless parody of hisSNL skits. The film was a good example, but it was also funny, and fans spent the next decade clamoring for more.

Finally, the establishment of NBC''s Peacock streaming service meant someone was willing to pay for a new MacGruber. So were both getting the aMacGruber series that stars Forte, along with both of the films other directors, RyanPhillippe and Kristen Wiig. The trailer focuses entirely on MacGruber, who has apparently spent the last decade in jail. As youll see in the clip below, he isn''t hurtful about his actions...

Here''s the official synopsis of the shows:

MacGruber, his most uber-patriot, is finally released. His intent is to take down an incredibly mysterious villain from his previousBrigadier commander Enos Queeth (Billy Zane). With the whole world in the crosshairs, MacGruber must reassemble his old team, Vicki St. Elmo (Kristen Wiig) and Dixon Piper (Ryan Phillippe) in order to defeat the evil forces.

On December 16, MacGruber will air on Peacock.
