Afterlife has a lower Rotten Tomatoes score than the 2016 Reboot in Ghostbusters ...

The original Ghostbusters: Afterlife has a lower Rotten Tomatoes score than the Paul Feigs 2016 reboot. The newest installment in the franchise has been receiving rave reviews, with its actual cost reporting being at 66 percent on the aggregate review website. The film, directed by Jason Reitman, and his father, Ivan, has released the original Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a direct sequel to the 80s films, with a whole new team of ghostbusters.

The all-femaleGhostbustersreboot got an amazing mixed reaction from audience members, but others vocal old-school fans liked the new direction the film took. While the box office was successful,Ghostbusters underwhelmed ticket sales caused Columbia to switch up their efforts to improve the original series with Afterlife.

Afterlifeis is too heavily dependent on its past glory to make anything memorable. The new cast includes franchise alumni Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson, who are joining the band in an attempt to make younger audiences a full-on nostalgia trip. Perhaps it will be successful if the audience score will arrive, or when the box office will perform.
