Autumn is approaching, and this means a whole new season of drama for the BBC. The Control Room, which will take place in Glasgow, has recently announced the cast and focus on a dramatic turn of events for one particular Scottish Ambulance Service call handler.

Nick Leather, a BAFTA-winning writer and directed by Amy Neil (Trust Me, Hanna) the three-part drama will soon air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Now with new first look photographs to analyse, here''s all we know so far about The Control Room, and what to expect from it.

In September 2021, filming took place in and around Glasgow, but there is currently no air date for the three-part drama. The BBC has stated that the series will follow in the coming days.

Gabe, an emergency call handler for the Strathclyde Ambulance Service in Glasgow, is picked up on one particular shift, citing a life-and-death call from a woman who claims to know him. Gabe must work under pressure to identify who exactly the caller is, leading to a decision that has disastrous consequences, according to the Beeb.

Iain De Caestecker, who plays Gabe on the Edgeas, and Samantha, who plays Samantha in The Control Room, said the series is based on the greatest scripts [heas] ever reada, and it left him on the edge of his seat.

Vanderham says she''s eager for the opportunity to introduce these incredible characters to lifea, and that she canat wait for audiences to see what they do with the program. Both actors are from Scotland, and are equally delighted to be filming in Glasgow.

My Mad Fat Diaryas Plus, Game of Thronesas Daniel Portman, Line of Dutyas Taj Atwal, and Bodyguardas Stuart Bowman will be featured on the show.

The Control Room was partially closed for two days to accommodate cast and crew in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
