In a new trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, you'll find 11 Easter Eggs and Details ...

In Phase 4, Marvel Studios continues to make history, with the first director to complete a trilogy and the first origin story on Disney+, Thor: Love and Thunder, the first time a solo franchise has received a fourth installment. Director Taika Waititi has reunited with Chris Hemsworth in this post-Avengers: Endgame adventure that chronicles the God of Thunder''s journey to redemption.

The highly-demanded teaser trailer showcasing Thors'' training montage, while distinguishing him from dad bod to god bod. Beyond that, fans got their first glimpse at Natalie Portmans Mighty Thor, the actress'' first Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance in over a decade.

Despite all the work done, one key character was clearly absent: Christian Bales Gorr the God-Butcher. Fans were surprised by this new footage from Hemsworth himself.

The immediate reactions to the official trailer were overwhelming, but fortunately for those qui want to leave until July 8, the new Thor 4 footage offers much more than what''s on the surface. Here are 11 Easter eggs, hidden meanings, and plot details from the new Thor: Love and Thunder trailer.

Korgs Campfire Story

Thor Odinson, the space Viking.

Taika Waititis Korg begins the second trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, narrating a campfire story about the titular character. This takes place on the same planet on which the God of Thunder has retired.

While this scene takes place at the beginning of the trailer, the plot''s context may place it in the final moments of the films. Korg might be caught up on the 500 times Thor has saved the world in the past, or he might be recounting the life of his inactive Asgardian buddy.

After the original Avenger has passed, that or this might be a tribute to him. Considering this is Hemsworths fourth solo Thor film and his ninth MCU appearance overall, Love and Thunder might very well be his swan song. If the giant one goes the way of his father and moves into the stars, this Story of the Space Viking might serve as a tribute.

New Asgards Tourist Attractions

What''s old is now the norm.

After having their home planet destroyed by Surtur and half of their people slaughtered by Thanos, the remaining Asgardians enlisted refuge in Norway, claiming a plot of land for their own. First revealed in the opening act of Avengers: Endgame, New Asgard rebranded the previous regal civilization as a fishing colony, with the Asgardians traded in their golden robes for neon rain jackets.

The Blip has not only restored the missing half of their population, but also given the country a facelift. New Asgard has been remodeled as a tourist attraction, complete with docked cruise ships and a golf course.

Even if the majority of the adventure takes place off-world, the New Asgards look will play a major role in the fourquel. That said, the country is far from exempt from high-octane action.

Throwdown in New Asgard

These Asgardians are not able to take a break.

The footage for Mighty Thor has accelerated to the start of the film, with Natalie Portmans'' hero fighting side-by-side with her former flame. Jane Portmans is left equally confused, uttering a curious, Jane?! when the Mjolnir-wielder arrives.

This battle, based on background keep clear and "bla-"text on buildings, appears to be going down inside New Asgard itself. The powerful pair are battlingGorr''s Black Berserkers, indicating that the God-Butcher will make his presence felt on Earth rather than targeting other terrestrial entities.

Jane will have been on-world at the beginning of Love and Thunder, according to this scene. While Thor starts with the Guardians of the Galaxy out in space, Fosters Mighty Thor might have a crime-fighting experience by the time her ex-boyfriend meets her.

This throwdown includes a tense bit of trailer trickery.

Thors Helmet Returns

The helmets that were won are now available.

In most of her battle-ready appearances, Mighty Thor approaches her helmet in one frame. Contrary to the one he wore briefly in Thor''s 2011 battle armor and the Sakaar he sported in Thor: Ragnarok, The God of Thunder has a new winged helmet that covers his face.

If this one shot of Thor''s winged helmet feels out of place, then it very much is. Thor''s sleeveless, fur-coated shoulder pad suit is rocked when Thor first asks for Mjolnir. The reaction shot of Thor includes the winged helmet, as well as the red and gold sleeved suit.

This might be a result of Thor upgrading his armor mid-battle, which he has been known to do, or a suit swap-out specifically for the trailer, like the Caps Nomad suit in the Avengers: Endgame official trailer.

How Long Has it Been?

Eight years, seven months, and six days.

In the meantime, Thor wastes no time explaining that he hasn''t stopped thinking about Jane. Despite Natalie Portman''s absence from Marvel''s last Thor: The Dark World, Jane Foster has been directly referenced in Avengers: Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Endgame.

Who knows what happened to Jane in the meantime. Did she continue her scientific research? What did her relationship with SHIELD modify following Captain America: The Winter Soldier''s events? Was she a victim of Thanossnap?

In a single line of conversation, Jane wonders if Thor had been there for three years, and that the Stormbreaker-wielding hero has corrected her to eight years and change. Ignoring the fact that The Dark World has been at least a canonical decade, Jane is off by five years, and the exact amount of time that passed between the Snap and the Blip suggests she might have been reduced to atoms.

You either die as a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

Christian Bales'' first comic book adaptation since 2012, The Dark Knight Rises sees him selling the batarangs and cowl for the Venom-relatednecrosword and white cloak. This is Gorr the God-Butcher, the vengeful antagonist whose aim is to slaughter deities across the cosmos.

This trailer reveals a number of money shots of the pale white villain, including frames of his face before revealing that his all gods must die mission statement. This indicates that Love and Thunder will also serve as a Gorr origin story, which, if true to the comics, is filled with tragedy.

Mjolnirs Upgrades

Some reassembly is required.

Thor''s first weapon is back in the hands of Jane Foster, according to the cracking hammer head seen in the first trailer. This is the same Mjolnir as the one that was shattered by Hela in Thor: Ragnarok.

Mjolnir has not been permanently put together.

During an action sequence on Olympus, Jane crushes the hammer at an array of Olympians. Mjolnir re-shatters, each chunk taking out an individual attacker, before coming together once the attack hits Jane''s hands.

The Lightning Thief

Percy Jackson, step aside.

Tessa Thompsons Valkyrie appears to be infected with Zeuss'' famous lightning bolt during a one-on-one encounter. It''s unlikely that Valkyrie was gifted this iconic weapon.

With a god butcher, bringing Zeus and the Olympians into the fold never spelled well for their fates. If Gorr finds Olympus, it will not be beneficial to the Greek gods.

Hostile Olympus

A house divided cannot stand.

Despite being welcomed into Olympus with open arms, things quickly turn hostile against Thor. The Asgardian can be seen battling Olympians in a blue robe, before being chained down by Zeuslightning shackles. Oddly enough, Jane and Valkyrie watch from the crowd, pleased by their friends torment, not unlike Loki on Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok.

Jane will eventually return to her former defense as previously said with the aforementioned Mjolnir upgrades, but why she waits until the transition becomes tough is still a mystery.

Thor and his company''s mission to Olympus is expected to warn their fellow gods of the coming conflict. Zeus might assault this and humiliate his Norse counterpart, implying that the Thorsbirthday suit is shown at the end of the trailer.

The Statue Room

What a Phase 4 for the Living Tribunal!

Following Easter egg-sized cameos in Loki, What if?, and Doctor Strange in Madness''s Multiverse, the three-headed mysterious deity makes its fourth blink-and-miss appearance in the past calendar year.

The Living Tribunal is one of the most well-known landmarks in this room. The Surrounding Jane Foster are also depictions of Uatu the Watcher and Mistress Death.

Fans will recognize Uatu as the multiverse''s most powerful observer, and comic readers will recognize Mistress Death as the catalyst for the print version of Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet. On the page, Thanos seeks the Infinity Stones as a way to court Death, his wife of interest.

Are You Not Entertained?!

All are adamant that the gods are the ruler.

Russell Crowes Zeus makes his full debut in this trailers tag. Surrounded by women, Zeus flicks too hard and sends all of Thors drapes off his body.

Zeus''s iteration is similar to that of Richard E. Grant in the Loki Disney+ series, which depicts Classic Loki. While his bolt in Valkyries hands earlier in the footage does not bode well for his fate, heres hoping hes got a demi-god son running around somewhere in Olympus.

On July 8, Thor: Love and Thunder will be available in theaters.
