Before retiring from the gridiron, Calvin Magee was a well-known and accomplishedprofessional football player. He gained many admirers and he made a relegated transition to coaching. Sadly, the former NFL Tight End and JSU coach has died.
Calvin Magee, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end and current coach, passed on Friday. He was just 59-years-old. Rich Rodriguez, the JSU Gamecocks quarterback, couldnt hold back his emotions after hearing the shocking news.
Our hearts are broken as a result of our loss of Calvin Magee, our beloved friend. He was a great husband, great father, and grandfather, a great coach, a great friend, and a great guy.
In such a positive way, he profoundly affected my life and the lives of so many others. His beautiful wifeRose, daughtersJadeandJasmine, sonBryson, his grandchildren, and his family. Our world is less, but heaven is improving.
My brother, I am very grateful for him. I love you.
