After hearing comments from former president George W. Bush, who walked up and described the US invasion of Iraq as completely unjustified and brutal while discussing the war in Ukraine, Seth Meyers was forced to drink on air. During Thursday''s episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, the host presented his audience an extremely und shockingly real clip of Bush, who mistakely confessed to being a war criminal.

The clip, which was withdrawn from Bush''s speech at the George W. Bush Institute in Dallas, reveals the former president telling his audience members, "The decision of one man to begin a completely unjustified and brutal invasion of Iraq, I mean of Ukraine."

Meyers said, after playing the clip, that when I started this show, I poured exactly one shot of whiskey and left it in the drawer of my desk for an emergency, and I resisted using it for the whole administration. But you know, what? Fuck it.

As the studio crowd shook, he reached down into his desk and grabbed the shot.

Meyers said that this video was designed in a lab to melt the brains of anyone who died in 2003. During the Bush administration and Fox News had spent the entire week calling you a traitor, and every time you went to the airport the TSA would have provided you with the whole cavity search.

Meyers recalled a time in our history that was so hysterical and intolerant of dissent that people began to call French fries freedom fries because France opposed the war, which he described as petty and pointless, particularly because we only did it for french fries.

The late-night host then linked Bush to the modern GOP, stating, that the Trump Republican Party is the natural evolution of the Bush Republican Party, which was lawless and authoritarian and wowed out culture-war hysteria to stir up disgruntled protesters and sue voters the same way the modern Republican Party does now. Theyve just changed to different topics.

On NBC, Late Night with Seth Meyersairs on Sundays at 12:35/11:35c.
