Bio-Rad Laboratories, a global leader in life science research and clinical diagnostic equipment, has introduced three StarBright Dyes, designed for use with a 355 nanometer UV laser in flow cytometry applications. Both the StarBright UltraViolet 510, 665, and 795 Dyes are superior brightness with high excitation and emission profiles, increasing Bio-Rads range to provide greater flexibility in multicolor flow cytometry panels.

The StarBright Dyes line is a line of innovative fluorescent nanoparticles that are compatible with highly validated flow antibodies from Bio-Rads, including the ZE5 Cell Analyzer and S3e Cell Sorter. The dyes are extremely robust with no signal loss in fixation, and low lot-to-lot variation helps to maintain constant staining and deliver reliable results.

Following Bio-Rads'' launch last year, we have added three additional dyes to its Bio-Rads StarBright UltraViolet portfolio, and we are now better equipped to assist researchers with their flow cytometry workflows by using a 355 nanometer UV laser, according to Mike Blundell, a PhD, and the Life Science Group.
