Chris Rock will host Oscars for the next year on ABC

Chris Rock will host Oscars for the next year on ABC ...

The 95th Annual Academy Awards are just under a year away. That doesn''t mean that ABC, which will broadcast the next year show, isn''t thinking ahead. The broadcast giants already have a host in mind.

At this years version of the Oscars, Chris Rock had made a joke about Jada Pinketts hair. Will defended him and propelled him.

Despite the Will Smith incident, Craig Erwich, the ABC president of entertainment, said he would be open to Chris Rock''s next year event. He said the previous version of this year''s event was exceptional success. Despite the positives, the participants expressed no desire to have Rock participate in any tournament, according to Deadline.

My opinion of theOscars was that the program was truly a success. Obviously there was a lot of controversy, which overshadowed a lot of the positive things about the program, but I was very pleased with it. Even before that very unfortunate moment, the show was started up year over year, and we came back in a different direction.

The total viewership for the first edition of the Oscars increased by 60%. The key demo increased by 73%. The network is open to any task that will keep the show going.

Time will tell if Chris Rock gets the official invitation to host the 2023 Oscars. We''re still a way out from any nominees even being announced. Chris Rock''s role would involve some eyeballs just based on what he might say.
