Saturday''s Billboard Music Awards were held in Las Vegas, and one of the night''s most buzzed-about artists a for a number of reasons was Machine Gun Kelly. Although the rapper-turned-rock star performed and was nominated for the Top Rock Artist, he also sparked conversation walking the red carpet with Megan Fox and sporting super sparkly nails, which were valued at $30,000.
MGK was completing a diamond-encrusted manicure with the help of a collab between Marrow Fine, a jewelry company based in Southern California, and Brittney Boyce, the celebrity manicurist and founder of press-on brand Nails of LA.
The set required three months to plan, with 880 tiny diamonds wrapped over a black background for a total weight of 11.4 carats. Now that the BBMAs have been wrapped, the stones will be transformed into ten limited-edition rings that will be available for purchase on the Marrow Fineas website, where all proceeds will be donated to the charity.
Jillian Sassone, the founder and creative director of Marrow Fine, said in a statement that it was an honor to work with Nails of LA for the designs. Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are the most famous and fashionable couples of the day, so designing something so unique for charity was an offer I couldn''t refuse.
