Mediatonic has announced its big Fall Guys announcement stream that the Ultimate Knockout game will be free-to-play starting June 21. In addition, its launching on Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Epic Games Store at the same time. Mediatonic is also adding cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms.

The game will be available for free alongside a new season called Free for All. It will have a premium season pass as well as the free one. Mediatonic will also include a new currency called Show-Bucks. A legacy pack of cosmetics, as well as the first premium pass for free.

On their news livestream, the developers showed off the new versions of the game, as well as details on how each will run. Mediatonic is incorporating Epic Games accounts to facilitate cross-play and cross-progression on other platforms. There is one flaw, however, that the PC will become the home of Fall Guys (makes sense, considering Epic purchased Mediatonic over a year ago).

According to Mediatonic, there are several new round types and costumes in the works. Some include Ezio Auditore of Assassins Creed, Pusheen, and kaiju (including Mecha-Godzilla, Mothra, and Ghidorah), but the developers also speculated that players might soon have the ability to construct their own rounds, although this feature is still some ways off.
