The cover depicts Lamar, who is wearing a white T-shirt and wearing a crown of thorns, standing in a room while holding his 2-year-old daughter. In the background, his fiancee, Whitney Alford, is seen wearing a white tank-top while breastfeeding an infant on a bed, leaving many to deduce the couple''s second child.

The album will be Lamars'' first album in five years, and is certainly one of the most anticipated albums in all of music, as the world awaits with a depreciation to receive what Comptons good kid has in store.

The release of an impending follow-up to DAMN. was first made official in August 2021 with the creation of a website called Oklama. In a press release posted on the site, Lamar revealed that the album would be his last under the Top Dawg Entertainment banner, the label he had been called home since the start of his rap career.

Kendrick has sporadically entered the musical scene from the start of his career, from DAMN. to Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, whether it be to support blockbuster projects such as Black Panther: The Album, or collaborations with his protege Baby Keem, who has reached his own breakthrough with his 2021 album, The Melodic Blue, which featured several appearances from Lamar.

With the latest release of The Heart Part 5 and its accompanying visual putting a lid on what''s still to come, Lamar relishes the music world while looking to further enrich his legacy with Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.
