A Gatwa hasnat, unlike Simone Ashley, who left Sex Education to star in Bridgerton, has officially stepped away from the teen drama. This might have a good deal to do with the fact that the filming schedules for his two shows vary somewhat.

According to Digital Spy, the current stage of filming for the next Doctor Who series has already begun at Bad Wolf Studios and will be completed sometime in July. Gatwa secured the role of Doctor Who in February, so heas had a head start on filming. Despite this, filming for the fourth season of Sex Education will continue in the near future, although it will continue until October/November.

If Netflix wishes to have one, Gatwaas'' future on the Netflix original might come to an end soon. Doctor Who filming will begin at the end of the year, and will resume until summer 2023. This may be a risk for filming a fifth season of Sex Education.
