A new mobile game set in the Warcraft universe today has been revealed by Blizzard. Warcraft: Arclight Rumble is, as Blizzard describes, a tower offense game. It''s a play on the tower defense genre.
Before Microsoft''s bid to purchase Activision Blizzard, the publisher was in the midst of a strategy to include additional IP to phones. These include games like Call of Duty Mobile, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run, and the upcoming Diablo Immortal.
Players can collect heroes and villains (over 65 of them) that they deploy on the battlefield as a play within the Warcraft universe.

With Hearthstone, a digital card game available on phones and PCs, the Warcraft brand has already had some success. Similar to Hearthstone, Arclight Rumble appears to have a lighthearted tone.
A closed beta is coming to limited areas as part of the game''s quest for multiplayer support, including cooperative play and dueling.
