Apprenti and Epic Games have announced their apprenticeship program ...

Apprenti and Epic Games have unveiled a first-of-its-kind Unreal Engine apprenticeship program. Epic Games will be started by matching a $100,000 grant from the Department of Labor.

Through CG Spectrum, Epic Games will also be providing access to its unreal authorized training centers. In September 2021, CG Spectrum will open a school for digital art and animation. It established an alliance with Epic Games as one of those training centers.

CG Spectrums Jeremy Chinn said the acquisition will enable us to collaborate closely with Epics customers and industry leaders to train and inspire creators. Combined with the Apprenti model, we will gain access to expert-led development and coaching across these industries.

Apprenti is looking for additional investments to expand its national registered training program. The program will focus on specific roles in the gaming, automotive, and architecture industries.

Apprenticeship programs, developed by Epic Games, can help people and communities thrive, thereby providing valuable resources and opportunities to the organization. This partnership is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the potential industry-transcending effect.

3D skills are in high demand

In 2021, demand for real-time 3D skills is outpacing the average Information Technology skills by 50% and is growing 10% faster than the general global job market. The games industry alone added more than 30,000 new entry level roles.

According to Apprentis Jennifer Carlson, the gaming industry''s content must include the viewpoints of its users. Beyond this, an apprenticeship built in Unreal Engine skills will provide a path to careers not just in gaming but in diverse industries such as film, television, advertising, and manufacturing. We are proud to partner with Epic Games and assist underrepresented individuals in finding lucrative careers in interactive media.

Apprentis is a diverse organization that has placed internships throughout the United States, including Amazon, Paypal, Wayfair, and others. Over 85% of Apprentis apprenticeships are from underrepresented groups and non-traditional backgrounds.
