InVR, a new mod allows you to play Morrowind online ...

If recent developments in the modding community are appropriate, then that user base might increase. Two separate modding projects are collaborating to create one of the most impressive combined mods we''ve ever seen in a long time: OpenMW VR (an offshoot of the OpenMW project), and TES3MP, a multiplayer mod that has been included for years.

Yup, you understand that. Morrowind is now available on your phone not only with your friends but in VR with your friends. It''s doubtful that any of the game''s original fans and modders might have anticipated this outcome, but here we are. Nobody can accuse the Elder Scrolls modding community of being tumultuous.

If you want to host your own server, the latest version of TES3MP VR is available for download now over on Github. Note that both the VR and non-VR versions of TES3MP will be required, and remember to keep an eye on the latter.

OpenMW is not technically a Morrowind standard. Instead of replacing assets, sounds, or adding additional content, OpenMW allows the OpenMW team to implement physics and AI improvements, enhanced distant terrain rendering, and "quality of life" UI changes. The engine also promises "virtually no engine bugs," since it is not inheriting any from the original game.

The developers have developed a useful installation guide for you to navigate with the game. OpenMW is not limited to any game assets. It is available on the market for only $6 per month.
