On App, Telegram now allows crypto payments ...

This week, The Open Network (TON), a cryptocurrency developed by Telegram, gave cryptocurrency payments, thus making it possible for a "wallet" user to perform cryptocurrency transactions for free.

Telegram has over 550 million users, and this move is a testament to the fact that it is allowing users to move freely.

According to a representative from the TON Foundation, this reform of the cryptocurrency transaction process will accelerate adoption around the world. It is hoped that this enhancement will help with embed blockchain payment methods into peoples everyday lives.

Users will be able to buy crypto via debit cards, cryptocurrency exchanges, or other crypto wallets, according to Telegram. Two years ago, the company declared that it had violated federal securities laws by offering unregistered digital tokens called "Grams." The company had to repay $1.2 billion to investors and pay $18.5 million in penalties.

The company decided to withdraw from the project, but a small group of developers rebranded it as The Open Network and redesigned Gram as Toncoin. "When Telegram said goodbye to TON last year, I expressed the hope that future generations of developers would one day follow our vision of a mass-market blockchain platform," said Pavel Durov.

"I''m proud that the technology we developed is evolving and alive." TON is still years ahead of everything else in the blockchain realm, according to a professor. "It''d have been a shame to see this project not benefiting humanity."
