Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT) has introduced new software and analytical columns to assist biomolecule drug discovery and development. The Waters Intact Mass app on waters_connect allows scientists using the BioAccord LC-MS System to confirm the mass of biomolecules and impurities made by synthetic or recombinant processes almost twice as quickly as other commercially available options.

The process of collecting mass and purity data of biomolecules is tedious, according to Jon Pratt, the Waters Division Senior Vice President, and Waters Corporation. With the new Waters Intact Mass App, bioengineers and biochemists can accelerate drug discovery and development using a more straightforward technology to generate mass confirmation data on their own in minutes and hours instead of days/weeks.

In early stages of drug discovery, biochemists must analyze hundreds or thousands of different samples per week. Waters Intact Mass App is a fast, reliable, and automated way to help speed this process. Using simple deconvolution, bioengineers and biochemists can begin developing mass confirmation data on their own in minutes/weeks.

Waters MaxPeak Premier Protein BEH C4300A Columns for Intact & Subunit Protein Analyses

The ACQUITY PremierandXBridge PremierProtein BEH C4300A Columns for the BioAccord LC-MS System feature MaxPeak High Performance Surfaces (HPS) technology that prevents sample analytes from being dragged between sample and metal surfaces of both the LC system and column, bringing up to 3X greater sensitivity for low-level intact mass analysis and 2X greater sensitivity for low-level intact components of monoclonal antibodies.

The Intact Mass App on waters_connect is available for new BioAccord LC-MS Systems and as a replacement to previously installed systems. Waters has now purchased the Premier Protein BEH C4300A columns from the world.
