Disney Plus's Top 10 Sci-Fi Films

Disney Plus's Top 10 Sci-Fi Films ...

There isn't a library of science fiction that isn't quite like or. However, there are some humdingers. Here's how to pick the best science fiction on Disney Plus.

10.Avatar

Avatar occupies an incredible position in our collective imagination. Not too long ago, it was the highest-grossing film in history, but somehow the cultural footprint it left behind feels surprisingly flaunt.

If Avatar 2 is available, it might be a pleasure to rewatch it in some ways, but it is also quite imaginative and bold.

9.Navigator Flight

If you're aged between 38 and 42, chances are you've seen Flight of the Navigator about 37 times on average. It was one of the most successful films to make use of CGI, but certain elements have changed, although this 1986 film has a nostalgic itch than many others.

8.WALL-E

WALL-E is far from my favorite Pixar film, but it's probably the most sci-fi film in the series.

It is also well-known. It has harrowing things to say about the environment and our overreliance on technology, but it is still good.

7.I Shrunk the Kids, Honey

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids is a sci-fi film. It involves science and fiction. Almost everyone was hooked. The 1989-era special effects haven't been perfect, but for the most part, it's fun and hilarious. Perfect for a low-key family movie night.

6.Tron: Legacy

Now we're talking. Tron: Legacy isn't a classic by any stretch of the imagination, but it's interesting. Like many of the films on this list, it's objectively... not very good but enjoyable for reasons of nostalgia and the place Tron holds in our cultural imagination.

5.Tron

Why not watch Tron Legacy as long as you could imagine, but come on! Tron is a must-see musical.

Thor: Ragnarok

This entry is a way to move the boundaries of science fiction, but Thor: Ragnarok is, for my money, the best Marvel film. It's the most stylish, most compelling, and easily the funniest of the bunch. It's pure pleasure.

3.Inside Out

Inside Out isn't really sci-fi, but I'm adding it here because...1. It uses a beautiful, well-regarded sci-fi aesthetic.

2. It's probably my favorite Pixar film. Regardless of the genre, everyone should watch Inside Out.

3.Endgame: Avengers

The endgame, which involves travel through time and space, is easily included in the science fiction bucket. It is also quite the best Avengers film, and one of the best MCU movies. Great ending, great stakes, great characters. It was nailed.

2.The Empire Returns

The Empire Strikes Back is a fairly well-written film that makes great use of its iconic character set. This movie features a lot of character elements. It is also a nice touch to watch.

1.The Last Jedi

Yes, I put The Last Jedi above Empire Strikes Back. Bear with me here! The Last Jedi is quite the most recent trilogy and, arguably, one of the finest Star Wars movies ever made. The Rise of Skywalker has been somewhat ruined, but The Last Jedi is still as good and as bold as franchise movies. I love it.
