Psy, a K-pop icon, broke Youtube records and paved the way for K-pop to become the international force that it is now. Although "Gangnam Style" might have been dismissed as a tongue-in-cheek gimmick track, they'd be underestimating the wide-ranging appeal of Psy's playful pop style.
The newest single, "That That," might have a cowboy feel based on the cover art he shared on Instagram before the track's release, which is also produced by none other than. He also shared a brief sample of the video, and perhaps the song itself, which you can check out below.
The song will lead off Psy's new album, Psy 9th, which will be released this Friday (!) While both Suga and Psy discussed how working on it aided them.
"At first, because he's many years my senior and someone who is well-respected in the industry I was quite irritated," Suga said in another video shared to Instagram. "It felt like working with a childhood friend so it made the songwriting process so much more fun. We became besties in a way."
Psy says that he wasn't my junior in the business, but he truly feels like a friend. It was difficult to feel any age gap. If he considers me as a bestie, that's great for me.
The single and the album are dropping this Friday, so keep an eye on Psy's new music.
