After two seasons, Raising Dion has been canceled.

Sammi Haney, a cast member, shared the news Tuesday, which The Hollywood Reporter claimed. Sad to say that Raising Dion is CANCELED, Haney said. Thank you for all of our amazing support we received from all of our amazing fans! Season 2 was a success, even if you were looking at how many people watched all of it and wanted a season 3.

Season two spent four weeks in Netflix's top 10 English-language series following its January 1 premiere, peaking at second place for its debut week in the United States. According to Nielsen, Raising Dion racked up 2.74 billion minutes of viewing time in the four weeks following its premiere.

Raising Dion is based on a 2015 comic book and short film by Dennis Liu. It stars Alisha Wainwright as a mother raising a 10-year-old boy (Ja'Siah Young) who has started to demonstrate superpowers. Aside from the cast, director Michael B. Jordan has a recurring role as Dion's late father.

Carol Barbee served as showrunner on the series and executive directed by Jordan, Kenny Goodman, Liu, Darren Grant, Michael Green, and Charles D. King of Macro, Poppy Hanks, and Marta Fernandez. Each episode, Liu and Grant starred several people.
