While I enjoy a large amount of whiskey at my daily work, I also enjoy a lot of,,,, and other tastes to keep my knowledge base up to date. It's likely just kissed by ex-bourbon and/or ex-wine casks that grabs my attention the most. Cinco De Mayo is also around the corner.
This year's San Francisco World Spirits Competition was ranked 87 (aged and a year; less than blanco/silver/plata, but less than aejo), which included 12 people on two judging committees. In the end, only five bottles received a coveted double gold medal, resulting in a unanimous double gold. This means these five bottles wowed, from the first nose to the last sip.
