EXCLUSIVE: Discovery+ is taking on the stage of teen drag shows.
The host and EP of The Dancing with the Stars will produce for the streaming service.
The series follows five young children and their families as they anticipate their most significant drag performance at Dragutante, a drag show that serves as a platform for LGBTQ+ youngsters to express themselves.
On June 1, Discovery+ will drop all six episodes of the series.
As they prepare for the drag ball event, Jameson, Noah, Vinny, Bailey, and Nabela will follow the teens at the event as they get to Denver, Colorado.
Monkey, a Made In Chelsea producer, is the subject of Universal International Studios, which works in tandem with Bankable Productions and Cat Fight Productions.
Generation Drag is a group of outstanding young people who have put their creativity, passion, and energy on the centre stage, according to Howard Lee, president of TLC Streaming and Network Originals. "Jameson, Noah, Vinny, Bailey, and Nabela may only be in their teens, yet they are well beyond their years in being true to themselves, and believing in authentic living. Their story is an inspiration to express yourself at any age."
"I've had such admiration and respect for these youngsters. They are capable of arriving into their own in a world that can be quite challenging and not always accepting.," said Tyra Banks. "These teens' special interest in my time as a kid is encouraged by me and I am grateful to hear from them. I can't wait for these people to show their passion to the rest of the world."
