Lupita Nyong and Jason Derulo have launched a podcast network, which includes podcasts ...

The company is developing a podcast platform that has curated shows from celebrities such as Lupita Nyong'o and Jason Derulo.

Interval Presents, a record label, has established a new series that will span music, pop culture, and social impact. It will feature talk shows, and narrative-driven episodic episodes.

Lupita Nyong'o, an Oscar-winning actress, will be performing a non-fiction cultural documentary examining the African diaspora, while pop star Jason Derulo will be conducting a musical series that uses vocal performances to tell a fictional, noir-inflected romance story. In a series involving some of the world's greatest actors and their struggles, Billy Mann will be a participant in the challenge against failure.

Snap Judgment will produce Nyong'o's show. Awfully Nice, who has developed Idris and Sabrina Elba's podcast Coupledom, and Double Elvis, the company behind Disgraceland, are also developing a series.

Awfully Nice will create a docu-series that explores thought-provoking questions. The first season, hosted by artist Xiuhtezcatl, asks: What if California was slain from the United States?

Double Elvis will produce two programmes launching later this year a series about the media history and the role played by color communities in the television and radio worlds.

The other podcast series will reveal the stories of Warner Music artists who defined important cultural moments, and redefined themselves at times when the stakes were high. The first season will include Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul.

Allan Coye, who has been WMG's vice president, Digital Strategy & Business Development, has become the General Manager of Interval Presents.

According to Coye, "Interval Presents allows us to develop and share podcast content that leads to fresh, engaging conversations on trending topics and issues that matter to diverse communities, all through a culture-forward lens. This is just the beginning, and as we progress, we hope to remain true to our roots in music while also using audio artistry as a vehicle to explore new cultures of storytelling and ultimately, connect deeply with our audience."
