Meta, previously known as Facebook, plans to open a metaverse-themed shop in Burlingame, California on May 9 to sell products for the virtual reality business.
For those who do not want to venture to Facebook's campus in California, it will also be possible to get Facebook's virtual reality.
"We want you to interact with everything at the Meta Store, and we want you to pick up items. We want you to experience it," the company said.
The 1,550-square-foot Meta Store will be located near Reality Labs' headquarters, where the company claims to be building the metaverse.
According to Martin Gilliard, the Meta Store will help customers connect to the actual metaverse in the near future. "We are not selling the metaverse in our store, but hope people will come in and walk out knowing a little bit more about our products. "
Meta intends to offer a wide range of products at the store, from video calls to demos.
"It's possible that individuals experience the technology, and they may gain a greater appreciation for it." If we did our job right, people should leave and tell their friends, 'You've got to go check out the Meta Store," Gilliard said.
