Following Tesla CEO Elon Musk's successful bid to purchase Twitter on Monday, some members of the crypto community have taken to the popular microblogging platform to express their displeasure.

In a now-deleted tweet by Dogecoin co-creator Jackson Palmer, the move sparked a "hostile takeover."

Musk is one of the world's leading cryptocurrency influencers, capable of sending cryptocurrency markets spinning with one Tweet about popular memecoins like Shiba Inu or Dogecoin. Additionally, his active promotion of Dogecoin, as well as his recent increasing interest in Twitter in the near future, caused Dogecoin to increase by 10%.

BlockFi, a cryptocurrency lending business, has also reflected the billionaire's love for the Dogecoin pup through a rendering of the Dogecoin dog and Twitter's logo:

Others, however, applauded the world's richest man as Twitter's new head. The World's Bitcoin maximist Anthony "Pomp" Pompliano Musk has paid a lot of attention for his successful bid to purchase Twitter.

Musk announced this month that he would reduce use of text messaging and privacy breaches on the platform, including crypto scams. It is not yet clear how he might accomplish this.
