Nyara Sabally will not compete in the WNBA season until 2022, and will be eligible for New York Libe ...

The Oregon Ducks' reunion in New York has not been disclosed on the court, but Sabrina Ionescu and Nyara Sabally will not be together until 2023.

Sabally, the New York Liberty general manager, has been ruled out of the upcoming season due to injury. The 6-foot-5 forward has had her right knee severely aggravated, and has twice required surgery for a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

We knew before she was able to play for Nyara this year because of her current health condition, Kolb said. In selecting her, we knew that she would be successful, and we'll work with Nyara and her representatives and doctors to ensure that she gets her position for 23.

Sabally is missing out on the Liberty for a training camp that starts Sunday in Brooklyn.

She averaged 15.4 points, 7.8 assists, 1.4 blocks, and 1.4 steals, despite shooting 52.7% from the field last season, leaving eight of the UO's 32 games missing due to the injury.

Sabally and Ionescu were teammates for two seasons, but never got to play together due to Nyara's previous knee injuries, which forced her to miss the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Im super excited to finally have to meet with her on the same team again, Sabally said. She is an amazing person, an amazing player, and I cant wait for her to pass.

The Ducks' acquisition is coming to an end!@sabrina_i20 and they're reunited!
