The Star-action Wonder Twins has been discovered by DC. KJ Apa has been selected by Warner Bros. and for the HBO Max adaptation, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Wonder Twins is now written and directed by Adam Sztykiel, who worked on the script for Dwayne Johnson's next Black Adam. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill are doing well.
The Wonder Twins were born in Hanna-Barbera's 1970s Super Friends Hour, where they were young companions to older superheroes such as Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. They then climbed onto the Super Friends comic book, then expanded into animals and Zan became water. In the digital age, they have been the subject of a slew of countless memes and jokes.
The Batman has been released by Warner Bros., and next up on the DC front will be the animated DC League of Super-Pets scheduled for July 19, followed by Black Adam (Oct. 21) and Shazam! Fury of the Gods (Dec. 16).
Apa came to stardom thanks to CW's Riverdale playing comic book character Archie Andrews and directing Songbird, which premiered in 2020. May is famous for the breakout work in the Yellowstone prequel 1883 playing Elsa Dutton.
UTA, Matt Luber, and Jackoway Austen repearate Apa, according to Coronel Group, and Felker Toczek.
