A former head coach has a joke about stepping down.

Meyer said a return to the home country is in the works on Tuesday. Per The:

"That's all in conversation. I love FOX, I love their team and their guys. There's nothing that has been finalized yet, but I'll continue to do it again. I enjoyed watching those who play, and doing it. It's a fantastic game. I enjoyed not being the kind of ripping people to shreds, but also touching on this incredible game, and, most importantly, the players that do this game. I intend on returning in the fall doing something like that."

Former Oklahoma coach reveals he'll play the program for the Big Noon kickoff this week.

Meyer, a three-time national champion, quits FOX's college football pregame program last year to run the Jaguars. In December, he returned to Jacksonville after a horrible 2-11 start that included many off-the-field issues.

At the time, the Jaguars offensive coordinator was appointed as interim head coach.

Jacksonville hired a former head coach in February.
