The winner of the No. 8 seed has been announced.
The event in which eight teams compete for the final four spots in the, began on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 (4/12/2022) and concludes Friday, April 15, 2022 (4/15/2022).
The Cavaliers will play the Hawks for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference, while the Clippers will play the Pelicans for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. The Eastern Conference game will be broadcast on, so fans can watch for free via a free trial from.

In a play-in game against the Western Conference, CJ McCollum advanced 27 of his 32 points in the first half. Brandon Ingram added 27 points.
The Pelicans, who finished ninth in the West after starting the season 3-16, will play in the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night, with the winner getting the eighth seed and a spot against the Phoenix Suns in the first round. New Orleans defeated Los Angeles in three of four meetings this season.
The Pelicans appeared to be headed to a rout, leading 96-75, with 10:39 left, but the 10th-seeded Spurs used a 16-1 run over the next 5:25 to narrow it to 97-91. The Pelicans had missed seven consecutive shots during the run.
Ingram with a pair of soft jumpers in the lane, and Jonas Valanciunas added a short jumper to outperform New Orleans, 103-91. Valaciunas had 22 points and 14 assists.
Devin Vassell led San Antonio with 23 points, while Dejounte Murray had 16 points on a 5-of-19 shoot.
After Ingram came to the bench with three fouls 5:17 before halftime, McCollum put the Pelicans on the line in a 14-4 run over the last 3:36 of the half, and McCollum took advantage of the defense for two finger-roll layups on strong drives into the lane. New Orleans advanced to a 61-50 lead.
Despite establishing constant double teams, McCollum made ten of his first 12 shots, including two of three from the wide range.
Spurs coach Dan Bowie said he would miss Hammon's contributions after eight years as a San Antonio assistant. He said: "I just wish her well, and I just wish she was there." G Dejounte Murray won two of his 13 triple-doubles against the Pelicans in the regular season.
Pelicans: While F Zion Williamson had a broken right metatarsal throughout the regular season, the former No. 1 overall pick was doing 360-degree dunks in pregame before slipping back into his street clothes. Coach Willie Green said he was not looking for Williamson to return until the beginning of the next season.
