NBA Play-In Tournament for April 15 - Hawks vs. Cavaliers, Pelicans vs. Clippers | Tip-Offs, How to ...

After the first two days of the NBA Play-In Tournament, four teams remain to secure the two eight-seeds in the respective Eastern and Western Conferences in the final games of the tournament on Friday night.

The Atlanta Hawks face the (8) Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday Night Live.

Following a disastrous defeat to the Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland comes in with a last chance to make the playoffs. Despite Darius Garland's double-double, the Cavaliers fell 115-108 on Tuesday night.

The Hawks lost one of their best performances of the season in their 9/10 matchup against the Charlotte Hornets. After leading the Hornets by eight at halftime, Atlanta scored 17 points and led the Hawks with 24 points. Atlanta is planning to go to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time in five years.

The Cavs must keep an eye on Friday night, owing to three of the four regular season meetings this year.

(9) New Orleans Pelicans vs. (8) Los Angeles Clippers

In their Play-In opener, the Clippers lost a close one on Tuesday. L.A. went into the fourth quarter with the lead, but the Minnesota Timberwolves eliminated the Clippers 31-20, claiming a 109-104 victory. Los Angeles is attempting to avoid missing the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

The Pelicans were able to maintain their season alive despite giving up over 100 points. However, New Orleans was out-played by the San Antonio Spurs, although it was too little, too late. CJ McCollum led the floor with 32 points in the 113-103 victory, with Jonas Valanciunas scoring a double-double with 22 points and 14 assists.

New Orleans might have a less rest than L.A., but they have won the Clippers in the 2021-22 season, as the Pelicans won three of the four matches, despite Los Angeles winning the last meeting earlier this month.
