Jake Guentzel scored two goals and two assists on April 15 as the Pittsburgh Penguins clinched a playoff spot with a 6-3 victory over the visiting New York Islanders.

The Penguins are heading to the playoffs for the 16th year in a row, the longest active season in the four major North American pro sports leagues. Sidney Crosby added a goal and two assists. Kris Letang, Danton Heinen, and Teddy Blueger are all included in the program.

Tristan Jarry, a goaltender for the Penguins, has made 36 saves.

In the finale of the four-game road trip for the Ducks, Adam Henrique scored two goals, Troy Terry scored two goals, Ryan Getzlaf scored two assists, and Anthony Stolarz scored 27 saves.

Devils 1 and Avalanche 3

Logan O'Connor, Andre Burakovsky, and Artturi Lehkonen all scored in the second period for Colorado, which extended their winning streak to eight games by beating New Jersey.

The Avalanche extended their lead over the naive Florida Panthers to four points in the race for the highest NHL record. Colorado is four points shy of putting the team record set by the 2000-01 squad, which has won the franchise's most recent Stanley Cup.

Both William Karlsson and Jonathan Marchessault earned one goal and two assists as Vegas advanced to a playoff position after a victory against Calgary.

Evgenii Dadonov, Michael Amadio, and Nicolas Roy both scored one goal and one assist, while Jack Eichel scored for the Golden Knights. Logan Thompson, a Vegas goalie, made 35 saves.

Vladimir Tarasenko scored a career-high five points as Saint Louis beats Buffalo and extended his point streak to ten games.

Tarasenko gave the Blues two assists and a hat, which he has added two points. This time, the Blues are 9-0-1 on the scholastic season and have scored four or more goals in each game.

The Sabres have lost for the fourth time in five games, losing Rasmus Asplund and Alex Tuch. Craig Anderson have made 22 saves.

To help Ottawa win 1-0 against Boston, Tim Stutzle recorded a goal and two assists.

As Toronto defeated Washington, Michael Bunting, William Nylander, and Ilya Mikheyev scored two goals.

Ilya Lyubushkin scored and assisted for the Maple Leafs, and John Tavares scored three assists to give him 501 for his career. Pierre Engvall, Auston Matthews, and Morgan Rielly each had two assists. Rielly has 301 career assists.

The Capitals set a four-game winning streak on John Carlson, who scored a goal and a kick, before adding Tom Wilson and Nic Dowd to the game.

Minnesota advances to a road victory thanks to Frederick Gaudreau's overtime win.

Minnesota remained in second place in the Central Division after winning three games in a row. Dallas earned one point from the overtime loss, pulling into a tie with the Nashville Predators for the two Western Conference wildcard victories.

Jason Robertson scored both goals for the Stars, with Roope Hintz scoring two assists.

Edmonton have won two games to win over Nashville thanks to Leon Draisaitl's hat trick.

Darnell Nurse scores a goal while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid each had two assists for Edmonton. Draisaitl scored at least three goals in a game for the sixth time in his career and the second time this season.
