Jacob Walsh's four RBIs lead No. 21 Oregon baseball over Washington ...

In a series opening victory at Washington, Oregon's early run support proved critical.

In a 7-5 victory over the Huskies, Jacob Walsh put the No. 21 Ducks ahead of the next week's defeat.

Oregon held an early 2-0 lead, thanks to Walsh, who added a two-run home run in the first.

Washington (16-16, 6-10) received a run back on a Johnny Tincher RBI triple in the bottom of the inning.

One of only five hits and two walks allowed by RJ Gordon (2-1), who gave up three runs over 5.0 winning innings.

In the sixth, both teams scored two sacrifice flyers and two in the ninth.

Walsh scored another single to lead the game 7-3, but UW loaded the bases to tie the game up. After an RBI fielder's choice and single that brought the winning run to the plate, Kolby Somers scored his third strikeout in 1.2 innings for his fifth save of the season.

The series will continue until Friday at 2 p.m.
