Oregon softball has dropped its seventh consecutive win in a series-opening slug event at Arizona.

The Wildcats lost to UO for the sixth time in a row, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth in the game, but the Wildcats beat them three times in the bottom of the inning to give the game its seventh straight loss, 11-8, Thursday night at the Hillenbrand Memorial Stadium in Tucson.

Oregon (24-12, 4-9 Pac-12) jumped out to an early lead with Terra McGowan hitting an RBI single, KK Humphreys hitting a two-run home run, and Ariel Carlson following with a solo attack in a four-run first.

In the bottom of the first to get Arizona (22-14, 3-10), Allie Skaggs hit a two-run home run.

Stevie Hansen, an UO freshman, allowed four runs on three hits and a walk, striking out two innings of work in no-decision on his 11th home run.

After three innings, McGowan put the Ducks ahead in the fifth as Paige Dimler scored a game-tying three-run home run and Jasmine Perezchica and Sharlize Palacios each hit RBI singles to make it 7-5.

In the fifth, Dimler added a sacrifice fly.

Carlson hit an RBI double, while Galey, who hit the game the day before, hit a game-tying homer.

Carlie Scupin put UA back on top with an RBI double and Izzy Pacho sealed it with a two-run foul to defeat defeat by Makenna Kliethermes (7-4), who allowed four runs on five hits and two walks over 2.2 innings.

Friday at 17.00pm, the second part of the game will be released.
