This summer, jazz lovers will be able to have two days of music in downtown Birmingham.

Tickets are on salenow via, priced at $69 for general admission two-day passes (an "early bird special" with a limited number of tickets), $350 for two-day weekend passes and $125 for day passes.

According to the, the general admission price for weekend passes will increase to $215 in the future, presumably when early bird tickets sell out.

VIP tickets include VIP seating, a separate entrance, early admission, access to a hospitality tent, food and beverages, air-conditioned restrooms, and meet-and-greets with artists on the lineup.

A separate ticket, priced at $20 per night, includes admission to an after-party that will take place on Friday and Saturday, with music from DJ Chris Coleman at Lit on 8th, 518 Rev. Abraham Woods Jr. Blvd. There is a $5 discount for after-party tickets for those who purchase tickets to the event.

The Steel City Jazz Festival has begun at Linn Park for four years. Including Will Downing, Alex Bugnon, David Sanborn, Ben Tankard, Lalah Hathaway, Marion Meadows, Kirk Whalum, Jessy J, Ken Ford, and the O'Jays have also joined the band.

After organizers planned to change the location of the event from Linn Park to Legion Field, the event was held in 2022. According to founder Cedric Allen, the festival's supporters remained naive of the change. The event was halted during the coronavirus pandemic, but it will be released in 2022.

On Friday, the gates open at 3 p.m. and on Saturday, 11 a.m.

Here's how to see the performance schedule:

Folks who attend the festival may bring lawn chairs and blankets to the site, but tents and umbrellas aren't permitted. A clear bag policy applies to the event, and once people enter the site, they can't leave and re-enter. See the festival website for more information.

The City of Birmingham, the Jefferson County Commission, and the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau are some of the venues for the Steel City Smooth Jazz Fest.
