Sony's Chuck Klosterman adaptation of "Downtown Owl" (Exclusive) Henry Golding (Exclusive) ...

has joined the cast of Chuck Klosterman's Downtown Owl, a directorial debut for Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater.

The stage 6 filming in Minnesota is now underway. Golding will include Ed Harris, Vanessa Hudgens, Finn Wittrock, Jack Dylan Grazer, and August Blanco Rosenstein, as well as Rabe.

Linklater wrote the screenplay based on Klosterman's New York Times bestseller, which takes place in Owl, North Dakota, which is semi-isolated from the 1980s pop culture surrounding it. Three residents, an old man who spends his afternoons reminiscing in the local cafe, a depressed high school backup quarterback, and a new English teacher at the local high school, are shocked by a white-out storm.

Bettina Barrow and Rabe will play for Kill Claudio Productions, along with Rebecca Green and Linklater. Laura Rister, Lee Broda, and Joel Michaely are exec producers, while Tom McLeod will play the role. T Bone Burnett will be preparing the music.

Stage 6 Films is being overseen by Eric Charles and Elizabeth Grave. Three Point Capital is funding the project, which was a part of the Sundance Institute creative producing summit and talent forum.

CAA, Megan Silverman Management, and Goodman Genow have condemned Golding. The actor is also set for Persuasion for Jane Austen, as well as Paramount's animated film The Tiger's Apprentice.
